Customer Value Proposition Articulation: Enable customers to understand their system performance, how much money they’re saving, and whether the system is working as expected.
Customer Experience Sharing : Enable customers to brag about their solar system on social media, refer their installer to a friend and give their installer a review.
Account Management: Enable homeowners to manage their account with Solfaci, including paying bills, requesting a bill extension, understanding how much money they owe on their solar loan, etc.
Technical Vision, Strategy Ownership and Strategy Alignment: Own and drive the technical strategy and architecture for the Customer Platform. Ensure that technology strategy influences, informs and aligns with company and product strategies, and product roadmap.
Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership for the Customer Platform engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Create a strong tech culture within your team, and evangelize said culture across your peer teams and Solfacil. Develop and mentor engineering talent, ensuring a high-performing and motivated team.
Execution Leadership: Accountable for execution across the full Customer Platform. Drive the team towards building and delivering innovative and impactful technology solutions. Set and drive key technology-related performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives to achieve company goals.
Operational Excellence: Implement operational best practices, identify and address bottlenecks, and establish scalable processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.
Inter-Team and Intra-Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, to understand overarching business needs and ensure the translation of technical strategy into actionable engineering plans. Ensure that the various engineering teams are collaborating effectively within and among each other.
Adaptability and Decision-Making: Operate in a fast-paced environment, making strategic decisions and adjustments when needed. Bring structure and process to ambiguity, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
Communication and Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, from leadership to individual contributors. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on technical strategy and fostering collaboration.
Be a role model for your team.
A solid experience in engineering leadership with responsibility for products that are core to a company’s business.
Academic background in related fields. Bonus if you have direct experience with B2B2C platforms and/or solar software.
Strong technical acumen. Strong technical background with the ability to understand, drive and communicate critical and complex architectural decisions. Has expertise across multiple technical domains, and a baseline facility across the full tech stack. Actively builds said acumen within their team.
Strong track record of delivering winning products, top-notch technology, meaningful commercial outcomes, and building and developing high performing teams.
Deep understanding (and using) of Agile development and best practices.
Clear, structured thinker with strong technical judgment and sufficient business understand.
Comfortable making decisions and delivering results in a fast paced environment.
Operates effectively in ambiguity. Proactively creates structure and process where needed.
