Evolution Virtual (evolutionv.com) is the world leader in real estate marketing tools for homes and luxury properties. Headquartered in Chicago, IL USA, we provide branding, marketing, digital visualization, 3D and consulting tools for hundreds of major projects and thousands of real estate agents on five continents. Our current project is building a leading global real estate portal.

We are looking for a server-side engineer, to join the back-end team and deliver new API features, carry with deployments and maintaining production environments, and to interface with the React team and meet their data requirements.

We require senior-level expertise: at least 5 years of server-side development, including 3 or more years using Node.js. Strong JavaScript (ES6, ES 2017) and TypeScript skills are crucial. SQL experience is necessary. We require the engineer to bring experience in deploying web services to production environments in AWS, familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, and comprehensive Linux and SSH skills. Direct experience with Docker and containerized environments is preferable. Experience with monitoring, microservices architecture, fault-tolerant architecture, scalability, and server-side security is necessary. Familiarity with load balancing, clustering, and deployment across availability regions is necessary.

Conversational English-speaking abilities will be important as the principal server-side engineer is based in the US.

Applicants must have extensive experience with software engineering best practices (version control, unit testing, code quality, devops principles, etc.). Experience with Agile or Scrum is preferable.
